Birthday card!

Here's a birthday card that I made for my best friend who turned thirty today! The elephant is courtesy of a cricuteers Swap from DeeAnn! (thank you!). the grass and the talk bubble was cut out on my cricut. very simple, but cute =)

Mother's day gift/Someone special

here's a "shadowbox" I did for my mother for mother's day, which fell in the S2L challenge for this week for "someone special". This picture doesn't really do it justice, it was taken on my phone, but once I get a better picture, I will upload it.

I displayed two war medals from my grandfather, and the plastic flower in the lower corner came out of a Clock my grandparents had ever since I can remember. He past away 19 years ago, and she past away 17 years ago. They died 2 years apart on the same day. Luckily I was old enough to remember both of them very well! and both are very much missed. The picture in the middle is of my grandparents, my older sister, and myself edited in sepia tone to go with the other pictures. and the word "faith" is placed above the middle picture. Most of the cutouts came from the "home accents" cart for the cricut. I gave it to my mother, and of course she cried.

April 19-25 challenge

The challenge was to do a LO using 8 pictures, or a LO using circles. I decided to do one of each. The pictures I used were from my trip of south florida in 2005. I've just been putting them off because there was way too many of them and it was a little overwhelming to find a starting point. So I FINALLY tackled them. here are 3 new LO's. The Circle challenge I chose to use pictures from the key west sunset. Sunset was still beautiful even on a cloudy day! And the 8 picture challenge I used pictures from a trip through the Florida Everglades. (the top really does say "EVERGLADES", but the "EVE" became MIA when I converted into JPEG). And the third LO is just pictures of the brown pelican that I took on Marco Island. I didnt intend to do a LO on the bird, but found an article in one of the visitor's guide that I thought would be perfect to show off my pictures instead of them being stuck in a box forever!...Hopefully more from this trip will soon to come!

Tree Challenge

So here is my first LO(Layout) I did for a scrapbook challenge. It's for march 30-april 5. The challenge was to use any thing of a tree on the LO. I chose to draw and cut out a "spooky" tree for a halloween page that I've been meaning to do for a while. It's a very simple, but fun LO...

Just an Intro

I love all sorts of crafts. I've been "crafty" every since I was little. My friends joke and a say "just give her some paper, glue, and a pair of scissors and who knows what she'll come up with." I've been fortunate enough to have a career where I can use my creativity and create crafts with others. It is awesome! I absolutely love my job! The main reason I created this blog is because I just recently discovered "scrapbook challenges" and I'm super excited about it! So hopefully coming soon will be my first scrapbook challenge layout!....
